The limited production Nissan GT-R Track Edition is making the vehicle's North American debut at the 2017 New York international Auto Show this April, delivering a third model to a GT-R roster that features the recently revamped GT-R Premium and GT-R NISMO models.

The Track Edition offers a unique combination of the "T" (Touring) and "R" (Racing) elements in the GT-R equation, presenting a vehicle with better performance than the GT-R Premium and some elements from the flagship GT-R NISMO. While retaining the Premium model's 565-horsepower engine, the Track Edition has greater body shell rigidity than the Premium and includes a suspension with NISMO tuning as well as NISMO-spec tires.
In a press release, Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc., stated, “The new GT-R Track Edition gives buyers a specialized model, one true to GT-R heritage and available only by special order. Building on the major upgrade to every GT-R for 2017, the Track Edition is an amazing package inside, outside and under the skin.”
